Gearbox Ligier IXO (1:8)

The gearbox for the Ligier IXO is the part in the drivetrain that passes the power of the engine through the CVT to the drive shafts that turn the wheels. This version has a gear ratio of 1:8, which means the output shaft of the gearbox turns eight times slower than the input shaft coming from the CVT. Compared to a longer gearing, the 1:8 ratio delivers more top speed, with the trade-off that the moped car has slightly less pulling power when moving off from a standstill.

A worn gearbox shows up as a jerky feel during the transition between acceleration and deceleration (the internal transmission no longer engages tightly), as a ticking or rattling sound you hear when you ease off the throttle at lower speed (internal wear in the gears becomes audible under light load), or as a moped car that is harder to hold steady at a low crawling speed and where the engine revs move up and down irregularly (the transmission no longer shifts smoothly). This gearbox is by Bonq and technically equivalent to the original part.

Suitable for the Ligier IXO with chassis number up to VJRJS36CR..6488 or up to VJRJS36FD..3520 and with a 1:8 gear ratio. Please check your chassis number before ordering.
