The fuel tank for the moped cars from Microcar, Ligier and Due is the plastic reservoir in which the diesel is stored between refuelling and driving. From the tank, the fuel flows through the fuel line to the fuel pump and then to the engine, where the diesel is injected and burned to power the moped car. The tank is made of plastic that withstands prolonged contact with diesel and the vibrations that arise during driving.
A faulty fuel tank shows up as a persistent smell of diesel around the moped car, also some time after driving (small crack or porous spot in the plastic), as a fuel level that drops faster than you would expect based on your consumption (leakage at the underside of the tank), or as visible wet patches under the moped car after parking on a clean surface. This fuel tank is by Bonq and technically equivalent to the original part.
Suitable for the Ligier IXO, JS50 (Phase 1 to 4), JS50L (Phase 1 to 3), JS60 (Phase 1 and 2), Nova, Optimax, X-Too, X-Too MAX, X-Too R, X-Too RS and X-Too S, and the Microcar Due 2, Due 3, Due 6, MGO4 and MGO6.
