Driveshaft boot mopedcar

The driveshaft boot for your mopedcar protects the CV joint of the driveshaft from dirt, water and dust. Inside the boot there is grease that keeps the joint moving smoothly. As long as the rubber stays intact, the grease remains in place and the joint operates without wear.

Once the boot tears or becomes porous, the grease leaks out and dirt and moisture enter the joint. The result is a clicking sound in corners, play in the drivetrain and eventually a complete driveshaft that has to be replaced. Timely replacement is therefore considerably cheaper than waiting for the joint itself to fail.
