The drive shaft for the Chatenet CH26, CH28, CH30, CH32, CH33 and CH39 transfers the torque from the gearbox to the front wheel. The shaft is 653 mm long and fits both the left and right front sides. What is special about this drive shaft is that the typical wear parts are not on the shaft itself, but almost always the protective boots surrounding it.
As soon as a boot tears, grease sprays out and dirt and water reach the universal joints. From that moment the clock is ticking: metal-on-metal contact without lubrication destroys the joints within a few hundred kilometres. That is why a clicking noise in corners or grease around the wheel arch is a direct sign to replace.
This drive shaft is by Bonq and fits the Chatenet CH26, CH28, CH30, CH32, CH33 and CH39, on both the left and right front sides.
