The EPCOUR 038 drive belt is intended for the Aixam 500.4, 721, 741, Crossline, Scouty and MEGA 2 with a Kubota Z402 engine. EPCOUR is a well-known name in the field of variomatic belts: the belt carries the clear EPCOUR038 marking on the side, so during a visual check you can see directly which belt is fitted in the variomatic.
This drive belt transfers the engine's power to the variomatic on the gearbox side with every kilometre the moped car covers. Through the constant load, heat and friction, the belt wears down over time; the variomatic then shifts less smoothly and the driving behaviour becomes restless.
