Weight holder motor coupling vario (1st model)

The weight holder for the variomatic engine clutch (1st model) keeps the centrifugal weights in place and guides them through the engine's rev range. As soon as the engine revs up, the weights press outward through centrifugal force and the pulley halves shift; the weight holder ensures each weight follows its own path and moves evenly with the other two.

Over time, the weight holder wears down through the constant movement and pressure of the weights. A worn weight holder shows up as a variomatic that shifts less smoothly, a jerky acceleration or a moped car that no longer reaches its top speed. This weight holder is by Bonq and is sold per piece without weights; three are needed per engine clutch.

Suitable for the engine side of the variomatic (1st model) of the Microcar, Ligier, Chatenet, Grecav, Bellier, JDM, Casalini, Minauto, Due and Aixam.
