V-belt Lombardini 442 / 480 / 492 DCI

The V-belt for the Lombardini LDW 442, 480 and 492 DCI engines drives the alternator and the water pump. While the timing belt controls the valves inside the engine, this belt does the visible work on the outside of the engine block: it runs over the pulleys and keeps the electrical supply and the cooling circuit going as long as the engine runs.

A worn V-belt shows itself through a squealing or screeching noise at start-up and acceleration, visible cracks on the running surface or a shiny, worn-smooth inner side. If the belt is not replaced in time, it can snap; at that moment the charging current to the battery stops and the coolant circulation comes to a standstill, resulting in overheating.

This V-belt is by Bonq and fits the Ligier JS50 and JS60 series and the X-Too series, the Microcar MGO and Dué series, the Bellier B8, the Casalini M20, the Chatenet CH26, CH40 and CH46, the JDM Aloës and Roxsy and related Grecav models with a Lombardini LDW 442, 480 or 492 DCI engine.
