Thermostat Aixam Kubota

The thermostat for the Kubota Z402 and Z482 engine of the Aixam and Minauto regulates the temperature of the engine by controlling the flow of the coolant. With a cold engine, the thermostat stays closed, which keeps the coolant from flowing to the radiator and lets the engine come up to operating temperature quickly. As soon as the coolant reaches the opening temperature of 82 °C, the thermostat opens and the coolant flows through the radiator, where the heat is given off to the outside air.

A faulty thermostat shows up as an engine that runs too hot (the temperature gauge climbs into the red because the thermostat stays closed), as an engine that does not reach operating temperature (the gauge stays in the blue because the thermostat stays open too early), or as a coolant temperature that visibly fluctuates while driving. This thermostat is by Bonq and has an outer diameter of 44 mm.

Suitable for the Aixam 400.4, 500.4, 721, 741, City, Coupé, Crossline, Crossover, D-Truck, GTO, MEGA 1, MEGA 2, Roadline, Scouty and Scouty R from all versions with a Kubota Z402 or Z482 engine, plus the Aixam Minauto V1, 2015, Ambition, Sensation and Cross versions.
