Gear shift cable Aixam 2005-2012

The shift cable for the DNR selection of the Aixam 721, 741, City, City S, City Sport, Crossline, GTO, Roadline, Scouty and Scouty R and the Minauto V1 from the Innovation, Restyled and Impulsion series (model years 2005 to 2012) is the mechanical connection between the shift lever in the interior and the gearbox. In this Bowden cable, an inner wire runs through a flexible outer sleeve: when you move the lever, the inner wire pulls or pushes the shift mechanism in the gearbox to select Drive, Neutral or Reverse.

A worn shift cable shows up as a lever that feels stiff or gets stuck in a certain position, as shifting that still works but is less direct than before, or as a lever that stays in the chosen position while the gear has not actually engaged. A frayed inner wire or a damaged outer sleeve is also a sign that replacement is due. This shift cable is by Bonq and has a cable length of 104 cm.
