Engine mount / gearbox mount Ligier / Microcar

The engine and gearbox mount for the Ligier IXO, JS50, JS50L, Optimax and X-Too R, RS and S and the Microcar Due 2, Due 3, MGO3 and MGO4 with a Lombardini LDW 502 Progress engine holds both the engine and the attached gearbox to the chassis. That means this rubber element carries a double load: the torque of the engine as well as the weight of the gearbox. During acceleration, braking and shifting, the mount has to absorb all these forces without letting the drivetrain tilt.

A worn rubber lets the drivetrain tilt slightly during acceleration; you feel that as a jolt or a knock underneath the moped car, or you hear a dull noise when shifting. With visible cracks in the rubber or loose metal, replacement is due. This engine and gearbox mount is by Bonq and is supplied including the matching mounting bolts.
