The brake disc is the part that the brake pads grip to slow down and stop the moped car. The disc is attached to the wheel hub and rotates with the wheel. A good brake disc together with the brake pads determines a short and reliable braking distance. Always replace brake discs for the left and right wheel at the same time so that braking force remains equal on both sides. When replacing the brake disc, also always replace the brake pads, as old pads have bedded in on the old disc. Always bed in new brake discs and pads by braking gently for the first few kilometres. When replacing, also check the brake caliper for leaks and corrosion.
